First, I would like to answer a question I have received a few times.

​

What is the Zoom session for and am I required to join?

Some teachers use the Zoom video platform for their face to face student sessions. Some teachers are recording their sessions as well. I will continue to use Microsoft Teams as my video platform to do the same.  For most teachers this is simply a help session based off the practice we have provided. Unless a teacher states they are teaching an actual lesson signing in is optional. You simply use the code or link each teacher provides.

I am signed on at my link from 10:30-12:00 every single weekday to help as needed. We have been asked to not post our links on public pages, so if you have not saved mine, please email me and I will resend it. Some students just check in to say hi. I have a group of students that have joined me every day that I've been on so far. When they don’t have specific questions, I share new information with them to keep them ahead, play a math game, or just work together in silence online. They simply turn on the microphone when they have a question and share their screens for the benefit of the group. Please consider joining at least once a week. You CAN join the link from a mobile phone, but may have to download the app if using a phone.

Update for Week of March 30, 2020

I apologize for being late with this update, but as I stated in my email I am not placing new practice assignments.  I am pleased to see more names popping up in my USA Testprep reports as I don’t desire that anyone get too far behind! My hope is that this week many more students can get in good practice time! Eventually we will all be back at school! Those who have access and have been practicing online or through books will find the transition back much easier.

I am providing some videos that will prepare you for the next set of practice assignments I’ll share AFTER Spring break. No new assignments will be given during Spring break and teachers will not be available during the normal “10:30-12:00” block next week. I will check my email periodically, so please reach out if you need me! Don't forget the vocabulary Quizlet found under Unit 7's "Extra Unit Material" tab above!
